February 07, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 110,322.93, showing an increase of 21.77 points or 0.02%.

The index traded in a range of 1,218.57 points showing an intraday high of 110,905.09 (+603.93) and a low of 109,686.52 (-614.64) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 129.19 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 42 closed up, 54 closed down, while 4 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were AICL (+3.85%), PKGP (+3.78%), NBP (+3.00%), PSEL (+1.88%), and FFC (+1.70%).

On the other hand, the top losers were UNITY (-3.95%), BOP (-3.22%), CHCC (-2.37%), PKGS (-2.10%), and ENGROH (-2.09%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were FFC (+177.08pts), OGDC (+64.28pts), LUCK (+42.22pts), NBP (+34.88pts), and MTL (+25.41pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were ENGROH (-132.57pts), EFERT (-41.54pts), MCB (-28.54pts), CHCC (-23.46pts), and SRVI (-19.02pts).

Sector-wise, the KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+142.29pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+44.63pts), Automobile Assembler (+30.87pts), Insurance (+17.73pts), and Technology & Communication (+11.38pts).

While the index was let down by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-139.12pts), Pharmaceuticals (-52.12pts), Leather & Tanneries (-19.02pts), Refinery (-13.40pts), and Paper, Board & Packaging (-9.41pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 68,536.92 with a net loss of 23.55 points or 0.03%.

Total market volume was 299.68 million shares compared to 598.93m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs15.62 billion showing a decrease of Rs10.01bn.

There were 195,468 trades reported in 445 companies with 143 closing up, 228 closing down, and 74 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 31,878 points or 40.64% during the fiscal year, whereas it has decreased 4,804 points or 4.17% so far this calendar year.
