Profit Repatriation in July jumps by 2%, YoY

September 3, 2019 (MLN): Repatriation of profits earned on foreign direct investments brought into the country, has increased by around 2% year on year during the July 2019, as investors sent home $126.88 million, as compared to $124.2 million sent during the corresponding period of last year.

Meanwhile, repatriation on total foreign investments during the period stands at $138.2 million.

Provisional figures released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reveal that repatriations in the Oil & Gas Exploration, Trasport and Financial Business sectors have been recorded as the largest source of repatriation on FDI, as they were recorded at $29.8 million, $28.1 million and $26.9 million.

Following next in line is Chemial sector, which repatriated $24.3 million of FDI during the period.
