PPL unearths gas from Exploration Well Benari

December 06, 2018 (MLN): Pakistan Petroleum Limited, along with its joint venture partners, Mari Petroleum Company Limited, Sindh Energy Holding Company Limited, and Government Holdings Private Limited, has discovered gas from exploration well Benari X-1 (ST-2) located in district Sujawal, Sindh.

The drill stem testing in A-Sand Unit of Upper Sand, Lower Goru formation flowed 9.05 million cubic feet of gas per day at flowing well head pressure of 855 psi on 48/64” choke, the Company Secretary Shahana Ahmed Ali said in the notification issued on Thursday.

Pakistan Petroleum Limited is the operator of Block 2467-16, Shah Bandar Exploration License and has a working interest of 63%, whereas its Joint Ventures Mari Petroleum Company, Sindh Energy Holding Company and Government Holdings Private Limited have a working interests of 32%, 2.5% and 2.5% respectively.
