POML announces bonus of 20% and dividend of Rs2 per share

October 28, 2022 (MLN): The board of directors of Punjab Oil Mills Limited (POML) announced the final cash dividend of 20% which is Rs2 per share, and approved the issuance of bonus shares of 20% which is 5 ordinary shares of 25 ordinary shares, the company’s filings on the stock exchange showed on Friday.

In the filing, “The board decided that sum of Rs10,781,300 out of the company's free reserves be capitalized and applied towards the allotment and issuance of 1,078,130 ordinary shares of Rs10 each as fully paid bonus shares in the proportion of five ordinary shares for every 25 ordinary shares”.

Furthermore, the bonus shares issued for the year ending Jun’22, shall not be entitled to the final cash dividend for the year ending Jun’22.

The company in its financial results for the 1QFY23 declares the earnings per share of Rs1.98 against Rs5.02 in the corresponding period last year.
