PMEX Index closes at 3,442 points

On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,442.
The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 5.319 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,926. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 1.493 billion, followed by gold (PKR 1.459 billion), WTI crude oil (PKR 825.017 million), silver (PKR 586.979 million), platinum (PKR 302.971 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 223.265 million), DJ (PKR 210.209 million), natural gas (PKR 113.974 million), copper (PKR 61.300 million), SP500 (PKR 43.193 million) and Brent (PKR 0.597 million).
In agricultural commodities, 4 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.955 million were traded.
