PMEX Commodity Index up by 20 points to 3,498-level

March 26, 2020: On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index up by 20 points and closed at 3,498. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.061 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,947.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 5.185 billion, followed by DJ (PKR 1.938 billion), NSDQ 100 (PKR 974.169 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 650.504 million), Crude Oil (PKR 395.604 million), Silver (PKR 335.433 million), SP500 (PKR 243.395 million), Platinum (PKR 133.578 million), Copper (PKR 90.255 million), Brent Crude Oil (PKR 44.838 million), Japan Equity (PKR 40.998 million) and Natural Gas (PKR 28.154 million).

In agriculture commodities, 2 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 9.248 million,20 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 8.659 million and one lot of Soybean amounting to PKR 7.147 million was traded.
