PMEX Commodity Index jumps by 128 points

May 19, 2020: On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index jumped by 128 points to end at 3,994. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.292 billion and the number of lots traded was 18,083.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 5.048 billion, followed by Silver (PKR 846.694 million), Crude Oil (PKR 674.303 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 642.135 million), Platinum (PKR 538.072 million), Natural Gas (PKR 193.225 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 184.376 million), DJ (PKR 76.931 million), SP500 (PKR 76.083 million) and Copper (PKR 12.572 million).

In agriculture commodities, 34 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 15.848 million and 2 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 7.990 million were traded.
