PMEX Commodity Index ends 8 points higher

July 08, 2020: On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index inched higher by only 8 points to close at 4,467. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.239 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,012.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 5.982 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 (PKR 893.784 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 643.603 million), Silver (PKR 456.196 million), Platinum (PKR 355.707 million), Natural Gas (PKR 281.185 million), DJ (PKR 277.505 million), Crude Oil (PKR 229.599 million), SP500 (PKR 83.268 million) and Copper (PKR 36.125 million).

In agriculture commodities, 11 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 45.548 million, one lot of Corn amounting to PKR 2.943 million and 5 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 2.627 million were traded.
