PMEX Commodity index closes at 3,360 points

APP – The Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited (PMEX)'s Commodity Index on Wednesday closed at 3,360 points, with the traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 14.569 billion.

The number of lots traded was 20,955, said a PMEX statement. (The data is compiled and released after 24 hours).

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs 7.879 billion followed by WTI crude oil Rs 2.592billion, silver Rs 1.267 billion, currencies through COTS Rs 1.292billion, DJ Rs 622.222 million, NSDQ100 Rs 428.608 million, platinum Rs 348.043 million, copper Rs 60.335 million, natural gas Rs 37.721 million,

SP500 Rs 25.372 million and Brent crude oil Rs 15.318 million. In agricultural commodities, 24 lots of cotton amounting to Rs 15.797 million were traded.
