U.S.A. remains top export destination for Pakistan in August

September 17, 2026 (MLN): U.S.A. remained the top
export destination for Pakistan during August, with $523.68mn worth of
shipments, up by 5.4% against exports of $496.75mn in the same period last
year.
According to the data released by the State Bank of
Pakistan, this was followed by U.K., as Pakistan exported goods worth $193.55mn
to the country as compared to the exports of $182.08mn recorded during the same
month of the previous year, depicting a rise of 6.3%.
China was the third on the list as Pakistan generated export
revenue worth $181.41mn from the country. This figure was up by 17.2% from the
exports of $154.82mn in the same period last year.
U.A.E. Dubai was the fourth in line as exports to the
region during the aforementioned period were $149.72mn, depicting an increase
of 14.7% YoY.
Among other countries, Pakistan's exports to Spain stood
at $135.27mn, marking a rise of 21% YoY, while exports to Germany decreased by
19% YoY to $124.23mn.
Moreover, the export receipts received from Netherlands
stood at $114.27mn, up by 5.7% YoY, while exports to Italy dipped by 4% YoY to
$93.88mn.
Exports to Philippines posted a sharp rise, climbing to
$49.81mn against just $9.12mn in the same month last year, while shipments to
Saudi Arabia fell by 8% YoY to $48.48mn.
While on a sequential basis, total exports to U.S.A.
declined by 12% MoM, while exports to U.K. dropped by 12.1% MoM.
Moreover, receipts received from exports to China
depicted a decline of 16.2% MoM, the steepest fall among the top destinations, while
shipments to U.A.E. Dubai eased by 9.1% MoM. Philippines was the outlier among
major markets, posting a 10.1% MoM increase.
