PMEX Commodity Index closes 51 points lower

May 12, 2020: On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index dropped 51 points to close at 3,711. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.308 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,859.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.830 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 999.994 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 353.004 million), Silver (PKR 331.465 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 329.218 million), Copper (PKR 173.233 million), Platinum (PKR 92.603 million), Natural Gas (PKR 90.293 million), SP500 (PKR 74.730 million) and DJ (PKR 34.199 million).

In agriculture commodities, 2 lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 8.249 million and 4 lot of Cotton amounting to PKR 1.744 million were traded.
