PM discusses implementation of economic reform package with IMF Chief

July 22, 2019 (MLN): Prime Minister Imran Khan met David Lipton, acting Managing Director IMF in Washington, DC to discuss implementation of economic reform package.

The acting director of the IMF, urged Pakistan to mobilize domestic tax revenue to ensure funds for social and development programs.

The two officials discussed recent economic developments and implementation of IMF-supported economic reform package which aims to stabilize the economy, strengthen institutions and to put Pakistan on path of sustainable and balanced growth.

After a meeting with Prime Minister Imran khan, David Lipton said, IMF and other international partners are working with Pakistan to implement economic reform program.
