PKR appreciates by Rs 1.788 over the week

August 29, 2020 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) strengthened by 0.55 percent or 93 paisa against the US dollar (USD) at Rs 166.50 in the inter-bank market on Friday compared with Thursday’s close of Rs 167.43 per USD.

The rupee on Friday opened on a stronger note at the interbank market at 167.4050 against the US dollar and traded in a range of 95 paisa per USD showing an intraday high bid of 167.40 and an intraday Low offer of 166.70.

During the week, the PKR appreciated by Rs 1.788 or 1.06 percent increase against the greenback, as the previous week was concluded at PKR 168.2887 per USD.
