Panda bond issue mandate awarded to CICC led consortium

April 9, 2019 (MLN): The ministry of Finance has awarded the mandate for issuing the Panda bond to a consortium led by China International Capital Corporation (CICC).

According to sources the consortium includes China Development Bank (CDB), CitiBank and HBL.

On March 20, 2019 the panda bond tenders were submitted and had received an overwhelming response.

The Finance Ministry is looking to raise around USD 2.0 Billion for budgetary support.
