Pakistan receives USD2bn through RDA in 11 months

August 16, 2021 (MLN): Roshan Digital Account deposits crossed the historical milestone of USD2 billion in just eleven months, the State Bank of Pakistan tweeted on Sunday.

On August 13, just before Independence Day, the cumulative deposit inflows reached USD2.004bn.

The central bank stated, “A big thanks to Overseas Pakistanis for their overwhelming response to the RDA initiative.”

To note, in the month of July-21, the country received $307mn, taking cumulative inflows to $1.87 billion within 11 months since its launch.
