Pakistan reaffirms commitment to TAPI pipeline amid delays

March 27, 2024 (MLN): Amidst the ongoing media reports regarding the delays in Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project, Federal Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik has expressed that the government remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing the project.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Atadjan Movlamov held discussions with Federal Minister Musadik Malik to discuss the project.

The petroleum minister remarked that TAPI is a flagship project and Pakistan is committed for its completion.

Notably, during his previous stint in office, the project experienced unprecedented momentum, resulting in significant progress and tangible outcomes.

Atadjan Molamov briefed that the intergovernmental commission and working groups meetings are scheduled for this year.

“TAPI is a win-win situation for all parties involved,” added the ambassador.

Ambassador extended the invite for the energy forum Turkmenistan will be hosting in Paris.
