Pakistan on path to economic development, says FinMin

May 21, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan is now on the path of economic development, said Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb during a meeting where proposals for the next fiscal year's federal budget and relief measures for the people were discussed.

The meeting was held between the Finance Minister, Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik, Minister for Power Sardar Owais Laghari, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah, who met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on Sunday.

The Chief Minister said it is a positive sign that consultations are being held on the upcoming budget, as per the press release issued.

They also discussed measures and reforms for fiscal discipline, enhancing the country's economic and agricultural growth, and providing relief to the people.
