Pakistan, Denmark enter into exclusive ‘Green Partnership’

November 26, 2020: Pakistan and Denmark have agreed to explore new avenues of cooperation in green technologies by establishing a 'Green Partnership'.

This understanding was reached during the second session of Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Denmark was held virtually on Wednesday.

Pakistan's side was led by Special Secretary for Europe Dr.Aman Rashid, while Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Christina Markus Lassen led the Danish side.

The two sides took stock of the whole range of bilateral relations, including political-economic, trade, investment, renewable energy, green technology and education.

The Special Secretary briefed on measures being taken by Pakistan to contain the second wave of Covid-19 and safeguarding lives and livelihoods.

The two sides also discussed the situation in Afghanistan in the context of recent developments. Pakistan's side reaffirmed that Islamabad would continue to support the Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process as part of shared responsibility for durable peace and security in Afghanistan.
