SBP reserves rise $14m to $17bn

August 14, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $14 million or 0.08% WoW to $17.06 billion during the week ended on August 07, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $23.7m or 0.11% WoW to $22.5bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $9.7m or 0.18% WoW to $5.44bn.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $1.0bn or 6.13%.
