Pakistan, Egypt agree to strengthen bilateral cooperation

November 10, 2022: Pakistan and Egypt on Wednesday agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, and commercial domains.

An understanding to this effect was reached during the meeting of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Hassan Shoukry, on the sidelines of the COP27 climate summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

They discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest and dwelled on ways forward to enhance bilateral engagement between the two countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Pakistan and Egypt have longstanding cooperative relations rooted in common faith, culture, and values.

He invited the Egyptian Foreign Minister to visit Pakistan to commence bilateral activities for the celebration of 75 years of friendly relations between the two countries.
