PABC expands annual capacity by 250m to 1.2bn cans

January 30, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan Aluminium Beverage Cans Limited (PSX: PABC) has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing its previous capacity of 950 million cans per annum, as revealed through a notice issued by the company to PSX today.

"We are pleased to announce that with the successful installation and commissioning of our expansion/equalization project," the notice reads.

Thus, PABC's new rated capacity now stands at 1,200m cans per annum.

The principal activity of the PABC is the manufacturing and sale of aluminum cans.

To recall, the company completed the installation, testing, and commissioning of its manufacturing facility at Faisalabad Special Economic Zone and commenced commercial operations in September 2017.

At the time of writing, PABC's scrip is being traded at Rs69.98, up by 43 paisa or 0.62% compared to its previous close.
