Oil sales rise 15% to 1.58m MTs in Nov

December 04, 2024 (MLN): The sales of oil marketing companies (OMCs) increased by 14.9% to 1.58 million Metric Tons (MTs) in November 2024 compared to 1.37m MTs in November 2023, data released by Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) showed.

Similarly, on a month-on-month basis, oil sales rose 5.5% compared to the sale of 1.49m MTs in October 2024.

Cumulatively in the ongoing fiscal year (5MFY25), sales stood at 6.75m MTs, up 4.7% against the sales of 6.45m MTs in the same period of last year.

Product-Wise

Product-wise, the sales of Motor Spirit (MS), High-Speed Diesel (HSD) jumped by 17%, 21.4% YoY to stand at 0.67m, 0.79m MTs, respectively.

Meanwhile, the sale of Furnace Oil (FO) decreased by 55% YoY and stood at 37,081 MTs.

On a month-on-month basis, the sales of HSD have increased by 14.9% respectively.
