August 04, 2023 (MLN): Hydrocarbon oil production for the week ended July 31, 2023, stood at 70,683 barrels of oil per day (BPD), which increased by 3.3% WoW as compared to 68,424 in the previous week, latest data issued by Pakistan Petroleum Information Service (PPIS) showed.

Similarly, Hydrocarbon gas production for the week ended July 31, 2023, stood at 3,211 million cubic feet (MMcf/d), which went down by 2.7% WoW compared to 3,300 in the previous week.

Company-wise, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) had the major contribution to the production of oil which was 46.02% of the total oil produced in the week, standing at 32,530 bpd.

Other companies include Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), MARI Petroleum Limited (MARI), and Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) with a production of 11,677 bpd, 855 bpd, and 5,037 bpd respectively.

On the other hand, MARI held dominance in gas production, producing 901 MMcf/d, around 28.06% of the total gas produced.

Other companies include OGDC, PPL, and POL with a production of 727 MMcf/d, 594 MMcf/d, and 65 MMcf/d.

Some of the major oil fields comprised Nashpa (10,855 bpd), Makori East (8,624 bpd), Adhi (5,960 bpd), Kunner Pasaki Deep (1,300 bpd), Maramzai (2,833 bpd), Pasakhi (3,600 bpd), Makori Deep (450 bpd), and Rajian (1,293 bpd).

Some of the major gas fields comprised Mari (884 MMcf/d), Sui (293 MMcf/d), Uch (386 MMcf/d), Qadirpur (164 MMcf/d), Kunner Pasaki Deep (98 MMcf/d), Kandhkot (87 MMcf/d), Maramzai (94 MMcf/d), and Sutiara Deep (107 MMcf/d).
