OGDC updates filing for Soghri license

May 22, 2023 (MLN): Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (PSX: OGDC) has updated the filing from 19 May 2023 to correct the additional area in Soghri Exploration License from 15.55 sq km to 15.88 sq km.

The letter issued earlier is in reference to the expansion of the exploration activities in the vicinity of the Soghri Block by drilling an exploratory well, OGDC had requested the government to grant an additional area measuring 15.55 sq km in the exploration license on January 11, 2022.

The same request had been approved by the regulator (DGPC) after obtaining formal approvals from the government on May 19, 2023.

To note, exploratory rights over Block No 3371-18 (Soghri EL) located in district Attock, Punjab province were granted with 100% working interest ownership to OGDC with effect from May 31, 2006.

The impact of exploration activities to be undertaken in the Block cannot be determined at this stage.
