CDNS revises profit rates on savings schemes

July 02, 2025 (MLN): The Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) has revised profit rates across a range of its National Savings Schemes, effective from June 27, 2025.
The profit rates have been reduced on all listed instruments, according to its website.
The Defence Savings Certificates saw a reduction of 15 basis points (bps), now offering a return of 11.76%. The rates on Behbood Savings Certificate, Pensioners Benefit Account, and Shuhada Family Welfare Account were each lowered by 24bps, bringing them to 13.20%.
Meanwhile, the Regular Income Certificate dropped by 36bps to 11.16%, and both Special Savings Certificates and Special Savings Account saw declines of 30bps, now yielding 10.60%.
The largest adjustments were observed in the Serwa Islamic Savings Account and Serwa Islamic Term Account, each slashed by 59bps to 9.75%.
