National Savings updates profit rates

March 20, 2025 (MLN): The government has once again adjusted profit rates on National Savings Schemes (NSS) across various investment categories.

These changes are effective from March 20, 2025.

According to the latest update, the Sarwa Islamic Term Account (SITA) saw the highest increase of 70 basis points (bps), rising to 10.44% from 9.74%.

Similarly, the Short-Term Savings Certificates (STSC) rate increased by 15 bps to 10.96%, while Bahbood Savings Certificates (BSC), Pensioner Benefit Account (PBA), and Shuhada Family Welfare Account (SFWA) each rose by 10 bps, reaching 13.68%.

Meanwhile, the Defence Savings Certificates (DSC) experienced a marginal increase of 1 bps, now standing at 12.15%.

However, the Savings Account (SA) saw a significant decline, dropping by 100 bps to 10.50% from 11.50%.
