National Refinery Limited produces VLSFO

September 25, 2023 (MLN): National Refinery Limited (PSX: NRL) has announced the successful production and supply of Very Low Sulphur Furnace Oil (VLSFO), commonly referred to as "bunker fuel", the latest company’s filing on the PSX showed today.

This achievement follows essential changes in crude mix and adjustments in the production process.

VLSFO is a premium product and environment-friendly fuel compulsory for all sea vessels under the International Maritime Organization (IMO) 2020, Regulation.

Due to limited availability, its demand is stable. The supply of VLSFO will assist in maintaining sustainable refinery operations independent of seasonal factors.
