MPCL refutes claims of gas discovery in Balochistan

August 23, 2024 (MLN): Mari Petroleum Company Limited (PSX: MARI) has clarified today that recent social media reports about a gas discovery in Chagai, Balochistan, are false.

"MPCL has made no such discovery," the company said.

"As a responsible organization, MPCL remains committed to upholding the highest standards of transparency and disclosure," the statement continued.

At the time of writing, the company's scrip is being traded at Rs3,260, relatively unchanged compared to yesterday's close.
