According to the latest post by the Ministry of Information, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed the task of crackdown to the FIA in a meeting held today and also authorized the establishment of specialized teams to combat electricity and gas theft.

During the meeting, it was also informed that the government's stern action against "Hundi" and "Hawala" has strengthened the value of the Pakistani Rupee (PKR).

He further directed tight noose against those involved in the "Hundi" and "Hawala" business.

Meanwhile, in a message on social media platform X, the Interior Minister said there would be no discrimination during the power and gas theft campaign and all responsible would be put behind bars.

He said these proactive initiatives are aimed at curbing the rampant theft of essential utilities, ensuring fair distribution and access for all citizens.
