KSE index soar high after yesterday's mischance

October 17, 2018 (MLN): After yesterday’s mischance, the KSE 100 index has picked up pace during the early hours of today’s trading session as it has gained around 358 points as of now and is currently trading at 37,021 points

The index is rising by cause of the scrips traded by Cement, Commercial banks, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies and Fertilizer sectors as they have contributed a total of around 353 points to the index so far.

Among the index heavy weights, OGDC (+2.08%), HBL (+1.96%), LUCK (+3.32%) and FFC (+2.70%) have given rise to the index hitherto.

Within a range of 557 points, an intraday high of 37,220 points has been recorded whereas the intraday low remains at 36,663 points. About 26 million shares traded today for the scrips listed on the benchmark index.

Likewise, the broader KSE All Share gained 202 points and is currently trading at 27,522 points. An intraday high of 27,640 points intraday low of 27,319 points has been recorded so far.

Over 43 million shares of the scrips listed within the broader KSE All Share Index have been traded so far, with its value recorded at Rs. 1.2 billion.
