KSE – 100 Index witnessed its worst day today on Wednesday, July 4th 2018 since the start of the year 2018 as political uncertainty weighed in on the markets due to the upcoming verdict on the Avenfield case. The index moved a total of 1,218 points, down by 2.93 percent in a single trading session, the worst decline in percentage terms since August 15, 2017. The index closed in at 40,345.68 with an index high – low range of 1,289.70 points.
Volume traded at KSE – 100 index increased by 75.72 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 74.329 million versus 42.3 million the day before.
Commercial Banks, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies and Fertilizers were the worst performers today after collectively taking away 605.13 points from the index.
KSE – All share Index closed in at 29,500.25, down by 2.73 percent, having moved in the range of 859.13 points.
KSE All Share Index’s sector turnover was led by Cement sector (17.119 million) followed by Commercial Banks (12.244 million) and Technology & Communication (10.149 million).
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 117.155 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 5.714 billion
