Analogous to the year start, the KSE – 100 index started the week on a positive not yet again. Index posted a string run today as benchmark index crossed the 43000 mark.
Market opened the day with the news of the twins of SSGC and SNGP both being the investors’ favorite after they received approval for third LNG pipeline. Furthermore, the gains were accentuated by Pakistan Fertilizer Stocks after gains were reported by Fauji Fertilizer +1.3%, Fauji Fertilizer bin Qasim +4.4%, Fatima Fertilizer. The scrips attracted investors after news reports announced that the Government is expected to announce Fertilizer policy in the coming months.
Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Technology & Communication (50.660 million), Commercial Banks (31.516 million), Engineering (28.924 million) and with Cable & Electrical Goods (11.833 million) and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (7.450 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE-100 Index at the day end moved a total of +588.13 points up by +1.38%, closing in at 43112.12 points with index high-low range of 43256.57 – 42523.99.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 270.423 million shares, value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 11.549 billion.
The index movement was limited within the 732.58 points range.
74 companies closed up, whereas 17 were down at the day end.
