KSE100 extended on last week gains by closing at 39525.75 points. Index has managed to stay positive as political uncertainties make way for a smooth transition to the interim government after the announcement of election schedule investors have been instilled with increasing confidence.
Furthermore, appointment of Rana Fazal as the new finance minister has quashed any fears pertinent to the headless ministry of finance after the ex-FM Mr. Ishaq Dar was pronounced a proclaimed offender In NAB Investigation.
Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Cement (30.224 million), Chemical (23.166 million), Technology & Communication (21.966 million) and with Fertilizer (6.224 million) and Insurance (5.559 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE-100 Index at the day end moved a total of +54.86 points up by +0.14%, closing in at 39525.75 points with index high-low range of 39719.13 -39293.37.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 178.175 million shares, value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 7.180 billion.
The index movement was limited within the 425.76 points range.
50 companies closed up, whereas 36 were down at the day end.
