February 21, 2019 (MLN): Kohat Cement Company Limited (KOHC)’s bi-annual profits for the period ended December 2018 have observed a 7% drop as compared to the corresponding period of last year, as the company marks its net income for the period at Rs.1.53 billion (EPS: Rs.7.6).

While the company’s net sale (Rs.8.4 billion) expanded by Rs.1.5 billion (22%) on the back of uptick in dispatches and higher prices, the overall net income declined due to substantial Rupee depreciation and 10% YoY higher average coal prices.
