IRSA releases 78,881 cusecs water

March 02, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Wednesday released 78,881 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 54,213 cusecs. According to the data released by IRSA, Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 16,300 and 16,300 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,097.60 feet, which was 47.06 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded a 20,332 and 45,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 22,720 , 22,589 and 35,024 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 3,500 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 14,081 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
