IRSA releases 77,147 cusecs water

February 14, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Monday released 77,147 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 40,522 cusecs. According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,423.11 feet, which was 31.11 feet higher than its dead level of 1,392 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 18,600 and 59,000 cusecs respectively. The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,145.85 feet, which was 95.85 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water were recorded 7,775 and 4000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 64,790, 45,820 and 28,645 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 4,500 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 9,647 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
