KSE – 100 Index today lost points yet again after investors remained aloof amidst lack of confidence. The market was jumpy throughout the day after losing 158 points at day end.
Market participation stooped to new lows after it sunk by more than 46.44 percent reaching 39 million from 111 million yesterday.
Volume traded at KSE – 100 index declined by 64.44 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 39.580 million versus 111.309 million yesterday.
Commercial Banks, Cement and Fertilizer sector companies during today’s session were at the bottom today after collectively taking away more than 109.63 points.
Sector-wise all share index top sector turnover was led by Commercial Banks (12.834 million), Inv. Banks/Cos./Securities (9.360 million), and Chemical (6.541 million).
KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of -158.33 points down 0.37 percent, closing in at 42,301.20 with index high – low range of 42579.81 – 42198.84.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 77.350 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 2.856 billion.
The index moved in the range of 380.97 points.
30 companies closed up, whereas 56 were down at the day end.
