September 30, 2020: Pakistan's Ambassador to European Union Zaheer A Janjua has said the GSP Plus continues to be a mutually beneficial proposition for Pakistan and the European Union.

Addressing the GSP Stakeholders’ Forum at the European Commission in Brussels, he said Pakistan’s exports to the EU have risen by 51 percent whereas EU’s exports to Pakistan have gone up by 47 percent since inception of the GSP Plus.

The Ambassador said Pakistan remains committed to fulfilling its obligations under GSP Plus. He said Pakistan has enacted requisite national legislations, developed robust policies and created structured institutional mechanisms to ensure effective implementation of the conventions and to fulfill its obligations.
