Govt to present budget on June 10, says Khurram Schehzad

May 29, 2025 (MLN): The government will present the federal budget for the fiscal year 2025–26 on June 10, 2025, as reaffirmed by the, Khurram Schehzad, Advisor to the Finance Minister.

“As communicated earlier, the upcoming Federal Budget FY26 is on schedule to be announced on June 10, 2025,” Khurram Schehzad wrote in a post on X.

“Similarly, the upcoming Pakistan Economic Survey FY25 is scheduled to be announced on June 9, 2025,” he added.

Amid speculation of further delays due to Eid holidays, the government has confirmed that the federal budget for FY2025–26 will be presented on June 10, 2025.

Earlier scheduled for June 2, the date was extended last week.

Eid-ul-Adha is expected to begin on Saturday, June 7, with the Pakistan Economic Survey FY25 set for release on the third day of Eid and the budget announcement following on the fourth day.
