September 07, 20223 (MLN): The media news pertaining to the ban of Rs5,000 notes is fake, as confirmed by Murtaza Solangi, Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting through a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Furthermore, the government of Pakistan will take action against individuals spreading such fake news to incite chaos.
