Govt raises Rs464bn from T-bill auction

February 09, 2023 (MLN): The government on Wednesday raised Rs464 billion from the auction of treasury bills against a target of Rs795bn, result data published by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed.
The SBP received bids worth Rs858bn, of which Rs520bn were for three-month papers, Rs170.5bn for six-month, and Rs167bn for 12-month papers.
Against this, the government accepted bids worth Rs454bn in three-month, Rs8bn in six-month, and Rs1bn in 12-month papers.
The cut-off yields for three months increased by 6 basis points to 17.99%. On the other hand, the cut-off yield for 6 months and 12 months remained unchanged at 17.85%, and 17.95%, respectively.
