Govt keeps petrol, diesel prices unchanged

October 31, 2023 (MLN): The caretaker federal government on Tuesday decided to keep the price of petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) unchanged at Rs283.38 and Rs303.18 per litre, respectively, said a notification issued by the Finance Division.

At the same time, the government slashed the prices of Kerosene (SKO) and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) by Rs3.82 and Rs3.40 per litre to Rs214.85 and Rs192.86 per litre, respectively.

The new prices will be effective from November 01, 2023.

In the previous fortnight, the caretaker government announced a substantial reduction in petrol and diesel prices by Rs40 and Rs15 per litre against the backdrop of noteworthy appreciation of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) against the US dollar and decreasing prices of oil in the international market.
