CPI Preview: Inflation to fall to around 17% YoY in April

Govt hikes POL prices by up to Rs10.92 per litre

September 01, 2022 (MLN): The federal government has increased the price of petroleum products by up to Rs10.92 per litre for the next fortnight, said a notification issued by Finance Division today.

Accordingly, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs235.98 per litre, after an increase of Rs2.07 per litre.

Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD), the most widely used fuel in the country, has been increased by Rs2.99 to Rs247.43 per litre.

Prices of other petroleum prices, Kerosene (SKO) and Light Diesel Oil also went up by Rs10.92 and Rs9.79 to Rs210.32 per litre and Rs201.54 per litre respectively.

The new prices of petroleum products are effective from September 01, 2022.
