Government releases over Rs100bln for NHA under PSDP

The government has released over one hundred billion rupees for the National Highway Authority under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for different projects.
These include over Rs 16 billion for Hakla-DI Khan Motorway, and Rs 4.5 billion for widening and improvement of Hoshab-Nag-Basima-Surab Highway.
Rs 100 million have been released for the construction of 118-km Thakot-Havelian Expressway, Rs 2.2 billion for land acquisition for the project, while Rs 1.5 billion for the construction of Burhan-Havelian Expressway.
Moreover Rs 14 billion have been released for land requisition and building for Sialkot-Lahore Motorway, Rs 50 billion for Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Section of Karachi-Peshawar Motorway, and Rs 5 billion for timely completion of Lowari Tunnel and access roads in district Dir.
