Government increases prices of POL products

June 15, 2021 (MLN): Government has announced a hike in petroleum products prices for the next fifteen days, a statement issued by Finance Ministry said.
Following the announcement, the Price of petrol has increased by Rs2.13/litre to stand at Rs110.69 while the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been surged to Rs112.55, up by Rs1.79/litre.
The price of kerosene oil has witnessed a hike of Rs1.89/litre to settle at Rs81.89 and light diesel prices moved up by Rs2.03per litre to record at Rs79.68.
The new prices of petroleum products will come into effect from 16th June 2021.
To highlight, the government had maintained prices of petroleum products, since April 16, 2021, by adjusting sales tax and petroleum levy so that there is no corresponding increase in the prices of essential items and maximum relief is provided to the common man.
