Government in talks with IMF: Finance Minister

February 21, 2019 (MLN): Finance Minister Asad Umar during his talk with the media indicated that government is currently engaged in talks with IMF.

Government held two sessions with IMF last week, and it will again talk with IMF this week, he said.

He said that the government is sharing economic data with IMF and following the finalization of terms, IMF mission will visit Pakistan.

While giving his views on duties imposed by India on Pakistani products, he said that India will suffer losses as a result of increase on duties whereas Pakistan will not face any burden.

Moreover, he said that decision on FATF is expected to arrive by tomorrow.
