Gold slips to Rs 115,350 per tola

October 23, 2020 (MLN): Gold prices fell on Friday due to slow progress in the US fiscal stimulus package talks. In the international market, gold edged lower by US $4 and traded at US $1,912 per ounce while silver was pegged at US $24.80 an ounce.

On the domestic front, the price of 24 karat gold also decreased by Rs.350 to Rs.115,350 in the domestic bullion market. The precious yellow metal of 24-Karat had closed at Rs. 115,700 per tola on the last day.

According to the data released by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram gold also dropped by Rs.300 to Rs.98,894 against the price of Rs. 99,194 reported yesterday.  

On the other hand, the price of silver tola and 10-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs.1,240 and Rs.1,063.10 respectively, the association reported.
