Gold shines by Rs 2,400 per tola to Rs 108,300

July 08, 2020 (MLN): In line with the previous trading session, the demand for safe-haven soared today as well. The price of 24 Karat-Gold jumped by Rs 2,400 to Rs 108,300 per tola in the local market. The valuable yellow metal had closed at Rs 105,900 per tola on the previous trading day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 10-gram gold also gained by Rs 2,058 to settle at Rs 92,850 against Rs 90,792 on the last trading day.

Similarly, the silver prices also witnessed an increase of Rs 10 to close at Rs 1,060 per tola. Moreover, 10-gram silver gained Rs 8.58 to amount at Rs 908.78.

For the first time since 2011, in the international market, gold prices reached above $1,800 an ounce, increased by $26 to $1,802 per ounce, while silver was pegged at $18.50 per ounce.
