Gold shimmers by Rs500 per tola in local bullion

January 03, 2023 (MLN): The most preferred gold has increased slightly by Rs500 per tola 24 karat to Rs187,700 per tola on Tuesday, compared to its previous sale at Rs187,200 per tola. 
 
Similarly, the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold moved up by Rs428 to Rs160,922, while the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold went up to Rs147,512, as reported by All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association on Tuesday.

This bullish trend of gold is mainly accredited to the non-availability of dollars and the devaluation of PKR. 

Meanwhile, The price of silver per tola has also swelled by Rs50 to Rs2,150. Likewise, 10-gram silver went up by Rs42.86 to Rs1,843.27.

In the international market, the safe haven gold surged by $9  to $1,833 per ounce while the price of silver raised to $24.31 per ounce as compared to $24.29 in the previous session.
