Gold rebounds to Rs109,550 per tola

July 28, 2021 (MLN): Gold rates on Wednesday rebounded in the local bullion market as the price of 24 karat per tola gold witnessed an increase of Rs200 and was traded at Rs109,550 as opposed to Rs109,350 per tola reported yesterday.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram 24 karat also edged higher to Rs93,921: a change of Rs171 from Tuesday. While the price of ten-gram of 22 karat surged to Rs 86,095, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association reported.

On the other hand, the price of 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram silver remained stagnant at Rs1,460 and Rs1,251.71, respectively.

Internationally, gold prices remained steady near $1,800 an ounce on Wednesday as investors remained cautious, holding back from making large bets ahead of the US Federal Reserve policy meeting due later in the day. The price of gold inched higher by $2 to reach $1,799 per ounce, while silver was traded at $24.82 an ounce, the association reported.
